love the subway in Shanghai....

Aug 26 Sunny Finally we arrived in Shanghai! it would be the first stop which is all on our own arrangement...felt excited about the unknown but also felt a bit sad leaving friends on the ship.... Kim even managed to persuade her guide into sharing the bus with us, we were so moved, but due to different destinations we thanked her very much for her kind offer, and hugged them goodbye..... it was the first time we were at Wusongkou pier, but i had checked the routes before the tour started and found the cheapest way of getting into the heart of the city...No.952 from Baoshan dist to Xuhui dist... it was a long long way and took more than 1 hour to get to downtown...and at the stop of People's Square we took subway no. 1 to our hotel.... we have been in long-term relationship with the hotel and the manager was so kind to invite us to lunch...expensive and exquisite dishes were served, but i felt a bit tired after a long time on the bus...and my left arm was swollen because of seafood allergy.... later that afternoon we still went out to Nanjing road, i wanted to visit Yu garden but unfornately found that i forgot to take my certificate with me...so a shopping afternoon then... we spent a lot of time walking walking but we bought nothing...the road was full of people, many foreign friends were there as well...well i dont think i am a shopping animal, i am more like a man when shopping....i dont like crowded areas too much... when having dinner, xiu-my friend in Shanghai talked a lot about her special way of communicating with her bf... though i dont agree with her fully, some of her opinions sound good...couples dont need to be together all the time and they could also keep their own secrets/make their own friends....sound a bit weird if two people stay in the same house but know little about the situation of each other....anyway, i am happy if my friends are happy...
Hints for Future Travelers:
better to get the transfer arranged from Wusongkou pier to downtown....It is a longggg way by bus....
