Well, Karen, we both feel the organisation and management of China Highlights is excellent. The weeks of email contact and preparation with you before we left were really good-and very reassuring. Your prompt response to our queries was also excellent. It was SO wonderful to have your Tour Guides, with smiling faces, at each and every airport- and also the comfort when they took us right up to the Check In desk on departure, as we were in unknown territory with virtually no knowledge of the written or spoken language.

ALL your Tour Guides were highly intelligent, well educated, very caring, conscientious and flexible. The cars were great, as were all the drivers. Congratulations to them all. The drivers were SO patient and we never felt concerned about our safety in all the traffic and miles that we travelled.

Dear Aileen,
Thanks for your email. The arrangements for the train journey back to Shanghai worked out fine and we arrived in good time to transfer to the airport for the flight home. The cabin was comfortable and we appreciated having it to ourselves so thank you for sorting it out at such short notice.

As you see we are safely home now - no illness or symptoms of sars, just the jet-lag to recover from. It sounds as though things have become even more complicated in China for tourists but at least the government's measures should help to control the virus and I hope you will be able to return to normal working as soon as possible. Certainly we have no regrets about our trip and I don?ˉt really think you could have foreseen the way in which things developed. We have many wonderful memories of our time in China - alll the beautiful places we visited and the people we met. We were so pleased to meet you in Guilin and thanks again for the good luck gifts.

The tour was excellent. We came home yesterday evening, as we stayed for one week in Shanghai.We really enjoyed the tour. It was very good. But as you asked for feedback?-

The cruise: the ferry was very good for our needs. The cabin was clean, we could enjoy the scenery through the window, and the toilet/shower was also good. In fact, the ferry was a lot better than what I expected. People were very friendly and tried to help us if we had any questions, and we did find some ones who spoke some English.

Well, the train from Wuhan to Guilin was very good, and we enjoyed it a lot. Guilin was very beautiful, and the half day tour was very interesting. The Li river cruise was very beautiful and interesting. We took very many pictures on that cruise. And when we arrived in Yangshuo we were pleased to stay in this new hotel.
