As China's only two five-star deluxe river cruise ships, the "East King" and the "East Queen", owned and managed by Hubei Orient Royal Cruise Ship Limited, are respectively started operation in August 1994 and April 1995. In early 2004, Orient Royal Cruise has completed an intensive renovation of both East King and East Queen. Dubbed as the most expensive "facelift" in Yangtze River Cruise history, the renovation program has set a new standard of luxury on the Yangtze River. It is the best ship on the Yangtze River.

Got a question? Ask us here.

No trip to China is complete without a cruise on the world-famous, spellbinding Yangtze River and our five-star cruises do not disappoint. Owners of the prestigious and only official five-star cruise ships in China, the East King and East Queen, the Orient Royal Cruise Company is one of the few leading western-oriented cruise operators to course the mighty Yangtze. Charting exclusive 3 and 4 night itineraries through the spectacular Three Gorges between Yichang and Chongqing, their river trips promise unparalleled adventure, combining unabashed luxury with majestic scenery and fascinating cultural attractions.

Not stymied by the annual floods or maintenance operations that prevent other cruise lines from operating all year long, the ships are able to cruise the Yangtze year-round. Going both upstream or downstream, the passengers will enjoy a non-stop parade of scenic attractions which include the treacherous Xiling Gorge, the idyllic Wu Gorge, flanked by a medley of craggy peaks and intriguing rock formations, and Qutang Gorge, renowned not only for its abundant historical relics and cultural heritage, but for its impressive mountainous landscape as well. The ships tours also include a variety of guided shore excursions to offer passengers a first-hand glimpse of the unique and awe-inspiring sights found off the beaten track in interior China Highlights include seeing the ancient cliff coffins, road ruins and Chinese Folk Dance performances at Shennong Stream; exploring historic temples at Shibaozhai and weather level and, touring the silk factory at Wanxian.

Similar in comfort and luxury, both ships offer the largest passenger cabins available on the Yangtze River. Both East King and East Queen provide accommodations for 192 passengers in 96 cabins, including 92 twin cabins, 2 executive suites and 2 royal suites. Large picture windows in each beautifully appointed stateroom offer breathtaking views of the scenery alongside the River.

Both ships are also specifically designed with exceptional meeting facilities and a multi function room that can efficiently serve up to 200 persons.

The East King and East Queen are perfectly suited to meet the needs of the individual or the group travelers. Special events, including theme parties and business conventions, are professionally and efficiently managed by their western-trained on-board staff of tour specialists, from concept to completion. Both ships offer excellent recreational and leisure facilities to insure your utmost enjoyment while on board.
